What's Included

Everything you need, nothing left out

Every residential move includes the same standard of care regardless of size. No add-ons to negotiate, no surprises on the day.

Blankets and Shrink Wrap

Every piece of furniture is blanketed and shrink wrapped before it leaves the room. Nothing goes on the truck bare, regardless of how short the drive is.

Disassembly and Reassembly

Beds, tables, wardrobes and desks come apart at the old place and go back together at the new one. Included in every move, not an upcharge.

Floor and Door Frame Protection

Floors and door frames are protected at both the old place and the new one. We leave both properties in the same condition we found them.

The Same Crew Start to Finish

The crew that loads your home is the crew that unloads it. No handoffs to a second team, no strangers arriving at the new address. You know who is in your home from the first box to the last.

Our Own Trucks, Not a Broker

We are not a broker and we never subcontract your move. Your belongings go on our truck, driven by our trained crew. The name on the quote is the same name on the truck that pulls up to your door.

Fully Insured and WSIB Covered

B.G. Moving Corp. carries commercial liability insurance and is WSIB covered. Your belongings and your home are protected on every move, and if something goes wrong we will get it resolved.

How It Works

From first call to last box, here is what to expect

Every residential move we do follows the same process. No surprises, no strangers, no changes to the price you were quoted.

01

Tell us about your home

Call or send the form. We ask about the size of the place, stairs or elevator at both ends, and anything oversized. That is enough for a real number.

02

Get your estimate and lock the date

You get the hourly rate, the crew size and an honest estimate of how long it will take. A 25% deposit secures your date.

03

We arrive and protect everything

Furniture gets blanketed and shrink wrapped, floors and door frames get protected at both ends. Nothing goes on the truck bare.

04

Everything goes back together

Boxes land in the room they are labelled for, beds and tables get reassembled. You pay for the hours worked at the rate you were quoted.

Common Questions

Questions about your residential move

If your question is not here, call and ask. Someone picks up seven days a week.

How much does a residential move cost?

B.G. Moving Corp. charges $75 per hour per labourer, with a 2-hour minimum. Most residential moves require at least 2 movers, so a standard crew starts at $150 per hour. Truck and mileage charges are additional and are confirmed as part of your quote before moving day. The final cost depends on the size of the home, number of movers, distance, stairs or elevators, and any additional services such as packing.

Do you disassemble and reassemble furniture?

Yes, and it is included in every residential move at no extra charge. Beds, dining tables, wardrobes and desks come apart at the old place and go back together at the new one. You do not need to prepare any furniture before the crew arrives.

How do you protect my floors and walls?

Floors and door frames are protected at both the old property and the new one before loading begins. Every piece of furniture is blanketed and shrink wrapped before it leaves the room. Nothing goes on the truck bare, regardless of how short the drive is.

How far in advance should I book my move?

Booking 3 to 4 weeks in advance is recommended if you have a specific date to secure. Month-end dates and the summer moving season fill up the fastest across Waterloo Region. If your dates are flexible, moves can often be accommodated with less notice. Last-minute availability depends on the schedule, so it is always worth calling even if your move is only a few days away.

What if my closing dates do not line up?

This is common and B.G. Moving Corp. can help coordinate the gap between homes. The crew can load your belongings, place them into storage, and deliver everything once your new home is ready. Storage can be arranged for short or longer periods. Storage charges are additional and will be confirmed as part of your quote based on the space required and the duration.
