What We Move
Every kind of move, handled by one local crew
Homes, offices, single items and everything in between. Same team, same trucks, no subcontractors sent in your place.
Residential Moving
Apartments, condos and houses across Waterloo Region. Disassembly included, blankets on every piece.
Commercial Moving
Offices, retail and warehouse relocations scheduled around your hours, including evenings and weekends to avoid downtime.
Packing Services
Full or partial packing with our materials. Kitchens, closets and fragile items boxed and labelled room by room.
Storage
Short and long term storage for the gap between closing dates. We load it, store it and deliver it when you are ready.
Junk Removal
Clear out what is not coming with you. Furniture, appliances and basement clutter hauled away and responsibly disposed of.
Move Out Cleaning
Leave the old place ready for the new owners. Deep clean after the truck is loaded, so you hand over the keys and go.
Why B.G. Moving Corp.
The crew you book is the crew that shows up
Most moving quotes in Waterloo Region come from brokers who sell your job to whoever is free that morning. We are not one of them.
Independent, not a broker
Your job is never sold on to a third party. Our own trucks, our own trained crew, and the same name on the quote as on the truck at your door.
Disassembly and reassembly included
Beds, tables and wardrobes come apart and go back together at the other end. Not an add-on, not an upcharge, part of every move we do.
Seven days a week, 9 AM to 9 PM
Closing dates rarely land on a Tuesday. Weekend and evening moves are normal here, and a real person answers the phone when you call.
We know these streets
Sixteen years across Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph and Brantford. Narrow Galt staircases, downtown elevator bookings and retirement residence loading bays are routine, not obstacles.
How It Works
Four steps from first call to last box
From the first phone call to the last box in the right room, here is exactly how a move with us runs.
Tell us what you are moving
Call or send the form. We ask about the size of the place, the stairs or elevator at both ends, and anything oversized. That is enough for a real number.
Get your estimate and lock the date
You get the hourly rate, the crew size and an honest estimate of how long it will take. A 25% deposit secures your date.
We arrive and wrap everything
Furniture gets blanketed and shrink wrapped, floors and door frames get protected, then loading starts. Nothing goes on the truck bare.
Everything goes back together
Boxes land in the room they are labelled for and beds and tables get reassembled. You pay for the hours worked, at the rate you were quoted.
Where We Move
Moving across Waterloo Region and beyond
Based in Cambridge, on the road across Southwestern Ontario. Local moves, long distance moves and everything between these five cities.

Our home city. Galt, Preston and Hespeler, from century homes with narrow staircases to new builds off Franklin.
Kitchener
Downtown condo towers, student rentals and family homes across Forest Heights, Doon and Stanley Park.
Waterloo
Uptown apartments, university housing turnover and the retirement residences along Erb and University.
Guelph
The Ward, Old University and the newer subdivisions south of Clair. Thirty minutes from our base in Cambridge.
Brantford
Echo Place, West Brant and the county beyond. A regular run for us down the 24 and the 403, about forty minutes from Cambridge.
Somewhere else?
We move across Southwestern Ontario and long distance within the province. Call and ask, the answer is usually yes.
Common Moving Questions
What people ask before they book
If your question is not here, call and ask. Someone picks up seven days a week.
How much does a move cost?
B.G. Moving Corp. charges $75 per hour, per labourer, with a 2-hour minimum. Most moves require at least 2 movers, so a standard 2-person crew starts at $150 per hour. Truck and mileage charges are additional and are confirmed as part of your quote before moving day. The final cost depends on the size of the move, number of movers, distance travelled, stairs or elevators, long carries, and any additional services such as packing or junk removal.
What areas do you serve?
B.G. Moving Corp. is based in Cambridge, Ontario and serves Waterloo Region, including Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph and Brantford, plus the surrounding townships. Long distance moves within Ontario are also available. If you are outside the primary service area, call and ask.
How far in advance should I book?
Booking 3 to 4 weeks in advance is recommended if you have a specific date to secure. Month-end dates and the summer moving season fill up the fastest. If your dates are flexible, moves can often be accommodated with less notice. Last-minute availability depends on the schedule, so it is always worth calling even if your move is only a few days away.
Do you take furniture apart and put it back together?
Yes. Furniture disassembly and reassembly is included in every move at no extra charge. Beds, dining tables, desks and wardrobes come apart at the old place and go back together at the new one.

What happens if something gets damaged?
B.G. Moving Corp. takes every precaution to protect your belongings and your home. If something is damaged during your move, let the crew know as soon as possible. For smaller items such as a lamp, the item will often be repaired or replaced directly. Damage to furniture, wood surfaces or walls may be assessed and repaired by the repair team where appropriate. B.G. Moving Corp. carries commercial liability insurance, and where a formal claim is required, the applicable process and coverage will be explained based on the circumstances.
Do I have to pack everything myself?
No. Full or partial packing services are available, and packing materials can be supplied for the job. The crew can pack an entire home, or just the areas that take the most time and care, such as the kitchen, fragile items, artwork and breakables. Packing yourself is completely fine too.
What if my closing dates do not line up?
This happens often. B.G. Moving Corp. can load your belongings, place them into storage, and deliver everything once your new home is ready. Storage can be arranged for short or longer periods. Storage charges are additional and will be confirmed as part of your quote based on the space required and the duration.
How do I pay, and when?
B.G. Moving Corp. accepts e-transfer, cash, debit and credit card. Credit card payments are subject to a 2.9% processing fee. Payment is due upon completion of the move. A 25% deposit is required to secure your moving date and will be confirmed when your booking is locked in.
